Appointments & Booking

Q: How do I schedule an appointment? A: You can book your appointment through our online booking system, by calling or texting us directly, or by visiting the salon. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time slot, walk-ins can never be guaranteed but we do take them depending on availability! We recommend calling first, but please be aware if we are with a client, we respect their time and will not step away to answer the phone.

Q: What happens if I need to cancel my appointment? A: We understand that plans change. We kindly request 24-hour notice for cancellations. This allows us to offer the time slot to other clients who may be waiting.

Q: How early should I arrive for my appointment? A: Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This allows time for consultation and ensures we can start your service promptly.

Q: What services do you offer? A: We offer a full range of hair services including:

  • Haircuts and styling

  • Color services (both lightening and darkening)

  • Highlights and balayage

Q: Do you offer consultations? A: Yes! We provide complimentary consultations for all color services to ensure we understand your goals and can achieve your desired results.

Q: How long will my appointment take? A: Service times vary depending on the type of service:

  • Haircuts: 45-60 minutes

  • Color services: 2-3 hours

  • Highlights/Balayage: 2-4 hours

  • Treatments: 30-60 minutes

    Please note that these are approximate times and may vary based on hair length and complexity of the service.

Q: Do you have a loyalty program? A: Yes! We offer Rewards in the form of "Pro Points" You earn 3-4% back on everything you spend on services and products! Spend them on your favorite products, your next service, or save them for up to $100 off!

Products & Maintenance

Q: What hair care products do you recommend? A: We carry professional-grade products from trusted brands including Kenra and Aluram. Our stylists can recommend specific products based on your hair type and concerns.

Q: How often should I get my hair cut/colored? A: For haircuts, we typically recommend every 6-8 weeks to maintain shape. Color maintenance varies by service type, maintenance is very person specific, and our stylists will come up with a top-notch maintenance routine crafted just for you. Approximate maintenance schedules would be:

  • Root touch-ups: Every 4-6 weeks

  • Full color: Every 6-8 weeks

  • Highlights/Balayage: Every 8-12 weeks

Location & Hours

Q: Where are you located? A: We are located at 856 Old Mount Eden Rd. We are in a brick house at the end of the road right before the dead end. Coming from I-64 you'll travel towards Shelbyville, pass Cracker Barrel and Ken-Tex BBQ and take a left right before O'Brien Ford. Then take another left and we're at the end! Coming from Shelbyville, go down Hwy 53 toward I-64, you'll turn right directly after O'Brien then take a left and we're at the end!

Q: What are your business hours? A: We're open every day but Wednesday! Wednesday is a weird day, we know. We wanted the opportunity to be open Sundays and Mondays, and our stylists need a day to recharge. Hours are:

  • Sunday-12-5

  • Monday 11-5

  • Tuesday 10-6

  • Wednesday CLOSED

  • Thursday 10-6

  • Friday 10-6

  • Saturday 9-6

    We do have appointment time that fall before or after these hours, but those appointments are by appointment only and may be reserved for existing clients.

First-Time Clients

Q: What should I bring to my first appointment? A: For your first visit, please bring:

  • Reference photos of your desired style/color

  • Information about your hair history (previous colors, treatments, etc.)

  • Any questions you have for your stylist

Safety & Policies

Q: What safety measures do you have in place? A: We maintain strict sanitation protocols and follow all local health guidelines. Our tools are sanitized between each client, and our salon is regularly cleaned throughout the day.

Q: Can I bring my children with me to my appointment? A: Yes, children are welcome at Beauty Pros Salon. However, for everyone's safety and comfort, we maintain strict safety policies:

Required:

  • Bringing another responsible adult to supervise your children during your service

  • Keeping children in designated waiting areas, away from chemical products and hot styling tools

  • Ensuring children under 12 are always supervised

  • Scheduling your appointment during our quieter morning hours, if possible, which may be more comfortable for children

For safety reasons, the following behaviors are not tolerated:

  • Running in any area of the salon

  • Climbing on chairs, stations, or furniture

  • Playing with salon equipment or products

  • Rough play or disruptive behavior

  • Wandering into service areas unsupervised

We take these policies seriously to protect all our guests and maintain a professional environment. If unsafe behavior persists, we may need to reschedule your service for everyone's safety. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a safe space for all our clients.
